| Abstract: | The article provides an understanding of the essence of literary translation. The basic requirements for the translation of fiction have been formulated. The differences between artistic translation and literal translation are shown. Peculiarities of the artistic translation are studied. The main functions of artistic translation and distinguishing features in relation to other types of translation are given. |
