Abstract:	The work deals with the central role of social media as a transformative platform for intercultural communication, where English functions as the essential lingua franca enabling global interaction. It examines the unique characteristics of this digital communication, notably the absence of nonverbal cues and the creation of a persistent, multi-voiced dialogue, which contrast sharply with face-to-face interaction.
