Abstract: “Moldovenesti” earrings are important elements of the clothing heritage of the Republic of Moldova, reflecting the cultural identity of the historical Bessarabian space. This study analyzes the typology, ornamental and symbolic characteristics of these jewelry pieces, highlighting the historical and artistic influences that shaped their evolution. The main typological categories are identified – circular earrings, earrings with movable pendants, filigree earrings, and earrings with explicit symbolism - in which motifs such as crescent moons inspired by lunnitsa amulets, spirals, rosettes, and vegetal patterns frequently appear. In the context of the 21st century, the research explores possibilities for contemporary reinterpretation through digital technologies and jewelry design, contributing to the valorization of cultural heritage and its integration into current artistic practice.
