| Abstract: | The study addresses the problem of practice-oriented training of prospective multimedia design specialists in the context of the increasing use of digital technologies and the growing role of intermedial interaction in design education. The relevance of applying intermedial technologies is substantiated; these technologies are understood as pedagogically organised modes of learning activity that enable the integration of text, image, sound, motion, interactivity and digital environments. The essence of intermediality, the intermedial approach and intermedial technologies is clarified in the context of the training of prospective multimedia design specialists. The specific nature of practice-oriented training is characterised as involving the completion of real project assignments or assignments approximating real professional practice, work with digital tools, and the development of project thinking, visual literacy, team interaction and presentation skills. The organisational and pedagogical conditions for implementing intermedial technologies in the educational process are identified. A model of practice-oriented training of prospective multimedia design specialists through intermedial technologies has been developed; it comprises aim-oriented, methodological, organisational and pedagogical, procedural-and-content, and result-oriented blocks. The possibilities for implementing the model in the content of the educational components of the Educational Programme “Multimedia Design” and in learning assignments aimed at creating integrated multimedia design products are demonstrated. It has been substantiated that intermedial technologies strengthen the practical orientation of professional training, develop students’ professional competences and support the development of a professional portfolio. The proposed model may be used to improve the content of educational components, organise project-based activity and prepare prospective multimedia design specialists for professional practice. |
