| Abstract: | Bilirubin, as a key product of heme metabolism, has potential value in the field of medicine for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and treatment of liver diseases. However, its traditional extraction methods have problems such as high cost and low efficiency, which limit its large-scale application. This article focuses on the biosynthesis of bilirubin and conducts preliminary explorations on the functional validation of Arabidopsis heme oxidase (AtHO) and Rattus norvegicus biliverdin reductase (RnBVR). |
